Bleh looks like I\'m SOL

My backups are of my own personal data tree (~/user) and the botched re-install (for eventual patch) corrupted the dom2 /Applications package.

Well, it looks like my only option now is to purchase...

Patch Woes

Well, in trying to patch up to v2.15, I really ended up with quite a predicament, that has left me unable to play Dom2.

I remembered that when upgrading to 2.12, I had to reinstall from CD, unlock...

I still on v2.12 - out of town and I'm unable to upgrade without wiping and reinstalling before upgrading (at least that is how it worked for v2.12) and I'm not sure if I have Dom2 disc with me...

Dom2 is a great game but there are many UI problems and aesthetics & graphics quality are poor.

* Unable to use hotkeys to scroll popup lists (forced to use mouse) and unable to sort on F1 nation...

Another big annoyance with the search function is there is no link back to the "Dominions 2" topic index. The "index" link goes back out to the Shrapnel master forum index.

Foggy about Map Create/Edit Process…

Created .tga file in Gimp. Made new map (and saved successfully) in map edit. Understand all about corresponding *.map file and Unix editing.

But very confused about this part in the mapedit.pdf...

OK, figured it out, and now patched to v2.12

1) Reinstall from CD

2) Unlock permissions

3) Apply patch
