Re: POLL - Weakest Among All

I had a decent run with MA T'ien Ch'i in the Faerun PBEM with a dormant earth-9 cyclops. The earth bless is great for TC, and getting a hammer economy started early synergises with their good site...

Re: MA Agartha and MA Ulm

I'd say MA T'ien Ch'i isn't worse either. They're not exactly a powerhouse, but they've got enough magical and troop diversity to keep the enemy on their toes.

Re: The MA Ulm issue.

A long lasting debate indeed. I've suggested many different things over the years, including magic weapons, an assassin, high MR on the elites, a 'worker' mage and a standard bearer.

These are...

Re: Most powerful nation

For my money, the most powerful EA nation is Niefelhiem. Those giants are brutal, and they've got 5/8 magic paths as well.

Lanka I'm not so sure about. I fought against them in the Blood Bath MP...

Re: Sophistry - Random Nations, Early Age (Started

Afraid I'm going to have to beg for a time extension, my Internet access has been patchy lately. It doesn't have to be long, even 6 hours would be enough.

Re: Most Usefull Research Path...

Construction really is the backbone of the game. Items open up far more possibilities than the other paths.

Enchantment is probably the next best, with the superb globals and good summons and...

It's probably more efficient just to alchemise.

Re: Counters to Niefelheim

A very effective tactic against Niefelhiem is ritual spells which cause unrest. Get unrest to over 100 in their capital and keep it there. Boom, no more Frost Giants. Rain of Toads, Raging Hearts,...

Re: Your Favorite Magic Path

Earth magic is probably my favourite. It's great all-round path, with anti-chaff and anti-SC spells. It has solid buffs, items and summons. It synergises well with every other magic path.

Fire...

Re: Velusion\'s Game Servers Updates

The general consensus is that R'lyeh has won Afterthought.

Re: Afterthought - Random Nations, Middle Era (Sig

I'm thinking we have a consensus that Baalz is the winner, even if Abysia and Marignon don't speak out.

Re: Hybrid Troopers

When one of Bandar Log's non-commander White Ones reincarnates, you get a load of squares instead of a name in the message.

Re: Afterthought - Random Nations, Middle Era (Sig

OK, I'm all for declaring R'lyeh the winner. His gem advantage is overwhelming.

Re: How to deal with elephants

Crushers (con 5) are size 6 and difficult to kill. Why not put one in front of your army to distract the elephants?

Re: Map Strategy Question

In my experience nations on the edge of the map tend to do better.

Buying too much PD is a common mistake. Build forts and mobile armies instead. I believe the AI is less likely to attack if you...

Re: Wish-List for Dominions 4

I'd like more filters for the army setup screen. At the moment, you can hide researchers, but it'd be nice to be able to hide other things, like preachers, sneakers or non-mages.
