Ok installed a 3.06 copy. Sorry for all the trouble, seems my memory was either wrong or it was changed for Dom3. From old Dom2-times i remember that it worked to play e.g. a 2.12 game with a 2.14...

The Royal Guard Cav seems balanced to me now, but the marignon infantry seems now a bit too weak, mainly because of the high resourcecosts.

I think it would be fair to reduce their resourcecosts...

The standard anti-SC battlespells would work for example.

Drain life, Soul Slay, Banefire, Gifts from Heaven and the like.

But your friends would have to moveguess...

Imho the AI uses especially those nations with useful but low resourcetroops well.

In my games Ctis, Yomi, Pan, Ryleh, Vanheim and Helheim are often quite strong.

The only difference is that i think easy to mod things that take not much time (= less than at maximum 1-2 hours) i prefer to mod myself to exactly...

Iirc Dominions 1 had the option to specificly target mages. But most players found this imbalanced and this attack command was removed for dom2 then.

I also vote to not care for balance when adding new nations. If they are really imbalanced mods/houserules can solve this issue for mp. But for sp somewhat imbalanced nations are a good thing imho ...
