Re: Nuance - Random Nations, Middle Era (Sign Up)

Sunday morning would be awesome - just got home from the new shift. I can have a password to you tomorrow, and the pretender Sunday morning - haven't ever played Eriu, else I could do it quicker.

Re: New Nation: Sylvania (Elves, son!)

Oh - the priestess' description says they are "able to heal the afflictions of mortals", but they don't seem to have a healing ability. Is the description meant to be fluff, or is it an oversight?

Re: Nuance - Random Nations, Middle Era (Sign Up)

48 hours from posting? SO pretenders are due ... Saturday morning? Ah, the joys of switching shifts - I'll see what I can do.

Re: Neo Xekinima - LA game of Mod nations (recruit

Wow, two nations that look really appealing still open. Can I have Sylvania? ( If they wind up taken, New Jomon. )

Re: Nuance - Random Nations, Middle Era (Sign Up)

I'll join - no Ulm, Abysia, or Oceania.

Re: Arcane Nexus

I disagree that Forge of the Ancients is particularly over-powered, since it's been seriously nerfed in Dom3 (don't think the CB mod could have changed it). When it boosted every magic path,...

Re: Perpetuality - The 60 Player MegaGame (Signup)

Almost equally? Don't think so. Actually, it very much favors those nations like Abysia who essentially can't hire spies in the early game, since spies & scouts are worthless.

Re: Perpetuality - The 60 Player MegaGame (Signup)

Gee - either the devs, or the more vocal of their assistants, assured that all the nations could be played at once. I remember, "You just need a trivial mod to play them all" being said. My...

Re: Perpetuality - The 60 Player MegaGame (Signup)

Sounds like, despite the supposedly increased max number of units and all, the bug from Dom2 remains where, when there are too many units in the world, reports on neighboring provinces and provinces...

Re: Nations Picks

Say - been an insane week, wrecked my new car and things went downhill from there. If I can still get in, I can have a good pretender in sometime Sunday, or .... a pretender in Saturday?

Re: Turn 4

Unfortunately, if you install 3.08 after simply backing up the executable, as with previous patches, it isn't so easy to revert to 3.06, since the patch overwrites multiple files.

And on the...

Re: New version! New version!

Blah. So, since IW couldn't be bothered to _mention_ this, it's screwed up my (and other people's) installs. And since they so-cleverly used an .exe to update the Windows version (instead of a zip...

Re: Update To Version 3.08 Of Dominions 3 Today!

Oh _goody_. Still no bloody Tab-research toggle, and for some reason, Windows user are stuck with a bleeding .exe file instead of a _SAFE_ .zip file which the other platforms have.

With the...

Re: Conceptual Balance (Discussion)

Not to mention that units like elephants, while useful sometimes, are certainly not elite by any definition, and aren't necessarily even powerful.

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod (and readme file) 1.00

I've a quick question - was it intentional to add a spell, "Summon Spectral Infantry" to Early Abyssia, that none of the national mages can cast without empowering them? Fire and Death is fine and...

Congrats Jurri!

Me, I'm just happy I was able to give some significant pain to the two nations that crippled my chances : burned about 6 of Oceania's temples, and then destroyed two of Kailasa's...

Re: Possibility of Brand-New Ages

Wouldn't be thematic, unless Illwinter named them "The Very Early Age" and the "Past Your Bedtime Age". I mean, c'mon, when you have Early, Middle, and Late, it pretty much covers everything....

Re: RFC: public info on games?

Regarding E : A big consideration is that I don't think you want all players to have to d/l the map just as a blitz-style game is about to start. Might not matter as much on 24/48 hour QH games, but...

Re: Middle Era, Cradle of Dominion PBEM

Between the staling and the complete lack of a predictable hosting schedule (24! No, 48! No, 144!) I'd say scuttle the game.

Re: Mod: The Death Formerly Known as Prince

Not to mention, we _really_ need a new earth mother that doesn't cause nightmares - the current one has always looked like a 350 pound floridian in a t-back who's been rolling in mud. Ewww.
