Re: PGM's and ARM's

Yeah in the above mentioned battle my opponent very thoughtfully picked an LZ which had a priority target marker on it.

I did after much hammering away managed to wing one of the attack...

Re: PGM's and ARM's

Correct, the Helicopter needs to be moving slowly, and you can nail it as a normal target. I bagged a Flight of AH-64's with T-80's like that. If A helicopter sit still in front of a infantry line...

Re: Erk, Culture shock

As I pointed out, your smoke gave my Infantry hiding in the town plenty of cover to sneak up on you.

Sorry I wasn't keeping notes at the time.

Re: PGM's and ARM's

Zing ;)

Well I had a Battalion of Germans and a re-enforced Company of Danes on the map. In my Previous game, I'd had "realistic" levels of AA support (4x HVM covering the entirety of the Royal...

PGM's and ARM's

So I was playing a game and I noticed a disturbing trend as nearly every one of my considerable Air defences (I went from 12 Gepards and a battery of patriots to 1 Gepard) was vaporised by a bunch of...

Nope. Heck I hardly knew what I was buying with the rest of the French army. wading through all that lovely alphabet soup :p

Although I note that every other LVT unit they have disappears in 54.

Re: 999 Armour pentration code

I did wonder. I searched the forum for it, but got no hits. It seemed a little odd, as these 4 man sections are doing better than their supporting M1 platoon.

Re: No reply necessary.

Nahh, I have that on top. I have to have a Licence to do my job, that costs me £120 per three years, Plus a 4 day course rated at about £200. To top it all off the Licence is about as much use as a...

999 Armour pentration code

I've been fighting a PBEM Game using unsecured slots, and on 4 occasions I've gotten a 999 Penetration on a tank. I don't know if this is a special code for something or a Bug, as the weapon causing...

Re: What 3 companies should I buy If I want to be as accurate as possible?

Look for the Information Button. In a couple of OOB's they tell you what you should be buying up to some fairly high levels. A prime Example is the East German "border" units.

Re: Helico hunting Aircraft?

Many years ago when I was playing with the OOB editor I did try to put SAM systems on Aircraft. IIRC it actually worked.

Of course there's several Major points to consider.
1) Scope: why would...

Re: How do I increase arty effectiveness against armor?

Yeah I know what I should have done (ATGM pits and LML's) with hindsight :p

We tend not to allow off map Cluster munitions (apart from aircraft) as several games where over before they started due...

Re: How do I increase arty effectiveness against armor?

Umm, I am from sheer desperation in a current PBEM.

I've got what seems like the entire 6th shock army rolling towards me (t-80's everywhere), and in a moment of madness I decided to field the...

Polish OOB

I was poking about in the polish OOB and spotted some errors. there's a few units that are coded as "no nation". They also seem to have an odd name start.

I suspect these where candidates for...

UK OOB, missing stuff?

I was looking about in the OOB for the MWMIK's (which came in to service this summer).

Also I noticed the Viking doesn't have slat Armour as an option.

Or should I just wait until December? ;)

Re: USA: OICW and M8 Rifle.

I think that's down to the ACOG sight that is appearing more and more. a couple of years ago in Iraq it appeared that almost every photo had a M16 with ACOG. Now it seems to have switched to mostly...
