There is no penalty if immortal pretenders die?

There is no penalty if your pretender dies in a friendly domain, other then respawning at your capital right? He dosent loose magic like non immortal pretends do when raised, right?

Just got a copy of SE4.... on normal difficulty I am able to steam roll over the computer, every computer repetadly with minimal problems. Are they alot harder on the hard setting? Do they cheat...
