I'd like to add that after trying the EV:Nova demo recently (thanks St. Patrik), I am impressed with the Tutorial where an old Captain guided you in the ways of the 'trade'. It never crossed my mind...

I wasn't aware you could activate or deactivate music? Is there a way to which music to play from within the game?

Sorry, this doesn't help your problem with no music...

Okay.. I'll have to come out and say that I haven't gotten to a stage where the enemies have improved their firepower but is there a way to make it so that the enemy doesn't improve their cabalities...

YAY! I got sound!
I checked that the sound folder is here this time around too. And the laser do make sounds... Fantastic.

And, unusually, the fps went up a bit too; I'm getting around 20fps...

Speed Issue:
I believe 12fps and 40fps is a HUGE difference. Anything around 10 is a pain. Anything above 25fps for me is acceptable (for none First Person Shooter games).

To disable autoplay on Win2k & WinXP I use TweakUI. Just search tweak ui & your windows Version (i.e Win2k or WinXP) in google.

TweakUI has a setting to disable autoplay.

Its easy on Win98 but...

I just added a new Hard disk on to the PC and it changed the drive letters for all the hdd & cd-rom. Previously the CD-ROM was E: and now its F:.
