I usually use a few "artillery" banes. Equipted with a Bow of Thunder, Spirit helm and a bottle of living water.

The chasi for this thug really isnt that important, but banes are cheap in gem...

What about Mind burn + Communion? Thau lvl 2 should be able to dish this out if you can recruit astral mages. So...

If you go with Black servants, you really need to put an anti magic amulet on them. Otherwise even independents will banish them pretty darn quick.

I've been toying around some more with Pythium. With a Nature Empower + a thistle mace (+1N) you can keep 1 or 2 GTs alive for summoning and forging duty for 25-30 more...

Vine Ogres - With an Ivy crown and 3N its easy to pump a lot of these these out at 1 nature gem each. They dont have that good hitting power but are solid "meat wall" for a lot of nations who rely on...
