Re: games for DEMO players only

Gandalf; I have offered to host a couple of games on another forum, and I'd be interested in offering a "live" display of pending turns and ongoing games. Does the dom3 process give information of...

Re: Problem Saving Games

I'm a new Dominions player, and when I met the Kailasa holy units for the first time my army got nearly wiped out. Due to a long-time playing games that allow save anywhere I instantly reached for...

Re: PBEM vs. HOST?

I have a dedicated box that could run the server, but I'd prefer to actually play my turn on another box (it's faster, bigger screen). Can I do that?

Someone mentioned running a "background"...

PBEM vs. HOST?

If I have a box that can just sit there and run Dom3, would it make sense to just Host it rather than deal with gathering/distributing the emails for PBEM?

Does it work the same way? Do your turn,...

Re: Dominions 3 Now Shipping!

Hmm, I have an 'order receipt' and a 'order processing' receipt, but no notification of shipping. I ordered on Thursday. Did all the Thursday orders get fulfilled?

TIA for any info.

Re: Just an idea of mine - the Dom3 Q&A thread

Range question for archers/slingers.

I use the troop disposition square to put my javelin hurlers in the back, others in front. It seems like the Bandar I'm playing against have a HUGE firing...

Re: New features suggestions thread

When a scout leaves a province and moves 2 away, the province troop presence vanishes. I'd like a "ghost" display of "last seen troop presence in this province" along with a timestamp. So you'd get a...

Re: Just an idea of mine - the Dom3 Q&A thread

Follow-ups to above:

Q1. Hmm, if the indies aren't going to change, would it be possible to patch in a greyed-out "ghost" display, as a "last known recon" for previously explored provinces (this...

Re: Just an idea of mine - the Dom3 Q&A thread

Noob questions from the tutorial.

Q1. The tutorial has me send my scout all over the place, but as soon as he gets too far from my dominion the provinces go blank. Wouldn't I want to get more...

Re: Manual Typos

The tutorial map has "Jelenia Gora" as one of the sea provinces. Unfortunately, Jelenia Gora means "Deer Mountain" in Polish, not a great name for a sea territory...

Re: Demo is UP!

Well, the combination of the well-written tutorial (both the mission and the text) and the music (I'm a sucker for good game music!) in the demo has done it.

Well, the astonishing amount of...

How about, let's see, some early game map shots as you scout out...
