Re: Action Turns

Loops:

The exact formula is a little rusty in the back of my brain, but ‘Action Turns’ are an important factor in automatic ship upgrades between campaigns. Action Turns are (unimaginatively...

Re: Where\'s the patch?

Xerxes:

I sincerely apologize for the delay.

We decided that it would be best to fix everything that we could and add some features all at once, so it is taking a little longer. Things are...

Re: Graphics Poll

David:

Thank you for signing your note, that’s a nice touch. I have replied to your note in your ‘spelling errors’ post. I am intrigued by your idea of a larger company (larger than my staff of...

Re: Spelling mistakes in this game!!! How lame!!!

Mark:

Thanks for pitching in, but I am afraid that I can not satisfy your request for rowed gunboats and direct representation of carronades. However, I think the current patch development/beta...

Re: Spelling mistakes in this game!!! How lame!!!

Comefromaway:

FWIW the screen capture in question was from a early development stage, and I have heard a LOT about those two little errors which were quickly corrected. The screen shot slipped...

Re: Demo bug - missing crew

Loops:

Excellent Reporting, and even better timing! I have just about everything ‘in place’ for the update (still some work to do, but looking good) and its time for major bug fixes. I want to...

Does the earlier mentioned patch help in these situations, or are you getting the same result when you use the updated code?

The original patch that I put together is (should be) still...

Re: Carronades

Antonio:

Unfortunately, as you have noticed, gun variation is not _directly_ modeled in Salvo, so you can not see how many Carronades or 32 Pounders, or whatnot your ship has. While it is not...

Re: Reviews

Jim:

Your observations are like a microcosm of the whole game industry where ‘market forces’ seem more important than both realistic games and even fun.

However, how realistic is it actually...
