The oob I have is V2.0 but I'm not sure if its the old dos game...

Re: Mechwarriors?

I tried doing this a while back for a more generic Sci-Fi mod. For doing things like hammers slammers. Dirtside. Battletech, WH-40k.

The general issues I ran into were:

Movement:
The current...

Re: Question - Fire Control and Range Finders

I'm also curious as to the RF and FC question more specifically as it pertains to tank armaments.

Could someone post a general guide to what the currently accepted values are for both RF and FC...

Re: Stabilization numbers question/FCS

Ok thats a nice synopsis/set of opinions. But none of it has to do much with FCS. Turret traverse/stabilization is certainly usable for tracking a target with soviet tanks (though rapidle turining...

Re: Adding Body Armour to the Infantry Units

So I'm curious as to the Cap trooper thing, how did you get them to not run away? Just armor them alot?

Re: Stabilization numbers question/FCS

well the fact the said equipment pretty much does everything and M1's/Leo-2 FCS about 5+ years before they were introduced might have something to do with it. From the posters on tanknet, they said...

Re: Adding Body Armour to the Infantry Units

I looked into my Dirtside mod this morning. I found that I was using armored motorbikes for PA. But I tried to run a scenario and i couldn't get it to run for some reason. I do recall the PA working...

Re: Stabilization numbers question/FCS

Don:
I have looked at various editions of janes, particularly ones dealing with the older tanks. NONE of them really describe firing procedures for any tanks. They might list some model of FCS and...

Re: Adding Body Armour to the Infantry Units

You can't do the infantry with added armor. Messes up the game. What I was doing with my dirtside2 mod was using a fixed icon (#of men never changes) and just making each PA suit = 4-5 men so a full...

Re: Stabilization numbers question/FCS

Well there are various threads on tanknet on the FCS capabilities of various tanks, particularly a thread on FCS I started recently that indicate that the soviet era fcs was pretty comperable in...

Re: Assault/Battle Rifles

I would frankly love to see some sort of standardization of stuff for this game, esp the OOBs.

YOu guys should remake this with a new engine from the ground up...

Re: Stabilization numbers question/FCS

Well, thats just my question. Seems there is pretty large inconsistent disparities between certain tanks/FCS. I.e. the T64B stabilization and FCS is probably better to western FCS of the time,...

Ammo update/question

I was wondering if an update could be made to the general game engine to use different types of ammo. As it stands now each main tank gun has to be designated for one "set" of ammo, i.e. one type of...

Re: Assault/Battle Rifles

I think the main point is that under combat conditions most of these rifles perform very similarly, hence the similar HEK, ACC values. Frankly I Think they should be about the same for each rifle in...

Re: T64

So the T-64 is in fact way superior to the T-72 models throughout most of its history, the 80's versions of the T-72 caught up in some respects.

Essentially the T-64B had an automated modern fcs...

I have the same question regarding the...

So, I noticed the that the T64B and the inial T72 have the same FCS rating. When the T64B had a superior fire control system, essentially an automatic fire control system while the T-72 had a more...

WW3 campaigns?

Are there any hypothetical WW3 campaigns set during 1950-89? I found the silver lions one, but thats it. If there is a soviet one I would love to play that.
