Re: what about the future?

I cannot guarantee weeping as I am not a programmer, but could you tell it? I like "programming archeology", as Vinge named it. ;)

Re: Real Time Editing?

Specifically for testing purposes there was a mod called "Debug". IIRC it makes Wish very cheap and includes rainbow mage reachable by any nation. It can be very useful for looking up how some...

Re: Archers and decoys in MP - questions to experienced players

Another thing. Sometimes AI may ignore small decoy squads. I've heard it said that the magic word is 3 or less soldiers in squad, but am not sure.
Also, I've personally seen some archers from the...

Re: Mods to use!

Is it so difficult to find Gandalf's first post in this thread? Or the difficulty is with reading it? :p
I personally don't see that Endgame Diversity requires CBM nor its author ever said anything...

Re: Crossbows vs. Longbows

On the other hand, you may just find something useful here. ;)
And on the subject of hoburg x-bows, I'd just make them same damage, but slower to reload.
Someday I am going to read this entire...

Which opinion? He seemed to express a lot of them. I don't really follow this comment.[/QUOTE]

Look up his 1st post in this thread. ;) All my following words are growing from it..

Re: Traitors! Team Game! 6/16

Boosting an AI in SP has a slight problem, however: you got full information as to exactly how it was boosted (Pretender design, etc.). A workaround here would be using scenario made by someone else....

Re: Mods to use!

Second Gandalf's opinion. Actually, I wouldn't even try to "research nations, strategies, etc." before playing. It's much more interesting to discover them by yourself. Of course, if you want to...

Re: new items in the Dom3 progress page

More spell slots and more name types - that could be very useful. Especially as it's the main possibility to name unique unit as it should be.
And barbarian fix would be good. Others crawl up more...

Re: Traitors! Team Game! 6/16

Thanks to Chris's persuasive skills, now official. :) Except that I won't play Hinnom, of course.
Any prospective Wraiders should "write themselves down right along the blade", as was said in one of...

Re: LA CBM Game Pyrite upload Pretenders

earcaraxe, please, state which nation and which era it is. If it's not too late already, of course. I, for example, may be interested, though currently I'm not in the best form.

Re: MA Man - Making the best of a bad deal

Here it isn't (so much of) a problem - as you yourself pointed out. It doesn't get added to the problem of Daughter being useful almost only as researcher while being capital only. In most other...

Re: Traitors! Team Game! 6/16

You didn't say that the minimum to outbid was to bid 10 more. :p OK, you may consider it to be exactly 10 more for now. :D

Re: MA Man - Making the best of a bad deal

Yes, Daughters problem bothers me more. ;) It would be good to have a procedure for making them into Mothers & Mothers into Crones. And, of course, a problem of weak capital-only mage, too (returning...

Re: Noobs and Vets II: Days of Infamy. MA, BI. Game Over. Supplicants Triumph!

Considering Daggerfall - Yes, but I still like Wizardry quests more. And there you could have quite different reputations for different factions, too. Actually, you could even spy on one faction for...

Re: Traitors! Team Game! 6/16

Hm. For now:
Arcoscephales 15, Ulm 15.
Lanka default 20.
I may think up something else (like my favourite Helheim), but these are my bids for now.
I hope I wouldn't have to be a captain, but may...

Re: MA Test Game - Retinues

Yes, I thought something along these lines. Thug commanders in civilized nations should be summons or specialists such as above-mentioned Kappa chief or Serpent Lord. Black Lords of Ulm are something...

Re: MA Man - Making the best of a bad deal

Fluffwise, Wardens are made by enchanting promising warriors with some ancient Tuatha-originated magic to make them even better. And it is done in Forest of Avalon;) , where Avalon Witches have their...

Re: Endgame Diversity Mod - stable version (v1.1) released

Well, I'd say the barrier between underwater and land nations is both thematic and interesting to both use and overcome (what I don't like much is how sailing is handled. But so it goes). And getting...

Re: Noobs and Vets II: Days of Infamy. MA, BI. Game Over. Supplicants Triumph!

Well, I like Wizardry series more, even though it had weaker graphics and you had to write down all quests & hints by hans. Morrowind was beautiful, but...

Re: Noobs and Vets II: Days of Infamy. MA, BI. Game Over. Supplicants Triumph!

As far as I know, that's not it. AI just doesn't like to cast resistance-gaining spells on units which already have some (50+?) resistance of a given type.

Re: Noobs and Vets II: Days of Infamy. MA, BI. Game Over. Supplicants Triumph!

The problem was that when we asked, you either was unable to do what was asked in time or just plain unavailable... :( Maybe it was partly because we centralised dealing with you so I, for example,...
