Re: Error report - obat12 USA

The issue here is the fact that it wouldn't be just changing it with regards to the USA OOB, but making sure its consistant with the OOBs. There are probably over a dozen AH-1s scattered across 6 or...

Re: Helicopter Smoke

I know I've tried and there have been others before me, and I'm pretty sure through all my tests there's no way to get helicopters to have smoke ammo, and no way to do vehicle laid smokescreens of...

Re: Air Cobras

I wasn't getting into the debate over the EW as right or wrong. In terms of what exists, the AH-1Q and AH-1S had the same defensive systems, so in game they should be equal. As it stands now the...

Re: Air Cobras

I figure I won't bother starting a new thread for this, but I decided I'd go and update the entire US Army AH-1 history for one of my OOB packs and noticed the following.

Unit 118 AH-1G Cobra -...

Re: Rocket artillery

How so? FIROS-30 HEK is 11 more than 122mm (we don't know which rocket this was based on). FIROS-30 only has an HEI warhead (an incendiary capability generally gets a greater HEK from most OOB...

Re: Rocket artillery

122mm 9M22U HE-Frag warhead weight: 18.4 kg
122mm 9M28F HE-Frag warhead weight: 21 kg

Now from what I'm gathering on the Italian Wiki entry for the FIROS-30 (not exactly the most reliable source...

Re: COIN Aircraft Pack V2

There was a pack here http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/SPColorMods/

The only Portuguese aircraft icons that are mine are the B-26 ones, the Harpoon ones, and the green T-6.

COIN Aircraft Pack V2

Been adding to this a fair amount, and realized it was just sitting on my HD. Basically just a small pack of new aircraft units and icons, plus some revised things.

The numbers:

Over 50 new...

Re: Icon work (any suggestions?)

Man, armor from what I guess we could call the "pentomic" era is so interesting. I love it because its almost as if it was taken out of a comic book.

Re: Wpn 009 - SVD - Russia

I would agree with it being 15 and the sniper rifle being 30. Its was never intended as anything but a squad designated marksman rifle to extend the reach of infantry out to 600 meters. It was...

Re: Cluster Munitions - Capable to destroy tank?

is it a direct hit? A "hit" in game doesn't necessarily mean a direct hit. I would think that a 155mm shell coming down in a hex would consistantly get shrapnel hits on a tank, but these hits would...

Re: Roadside bombs

I would think you could do something similar to the manually emplaced booby traps I created for myself in the Viet Cong OOB. I used an AT-gun class of some sort IIRC, set the size and speed to zero...

All USAF aircraft are contained in the new USAF OOB (formerly the UN OOB, #80). Use the allies tab to switch over to the UN OOB to purchase aircraft, C/SAR helos, special operations units (including...

Re: Vietnam Specific OOBs

I'll definitly note this issue for future releases. There are also enough MBT clones to actually create VN tank formations completely seperate.

Re: Vietnam Specific OOBs

The tank history might have to be reworked a little. I haven't done much on it, and what I have done was more in the USMC OOB.

Note that the M60A1 was first introduced into the US Army in the...

Re: Formation -- 089 USA (BSFV) Bradley Stinger F

No, the Bradley Stinger Fighting Vehicle was simple an M2A2 w/ rearranged interal setup for the carraige and support of a single Stinger MANPADS team. This is one of the reasons why the M6...

Re: Vietnam Specific OOBs

Alright, so I figured I'd mention it here too. The total conversion now has a pretty basic Philippine OOB (then again the force they sent was pretty basic), and a more or less complete Lao OOB.

Re: German riflegrenades/grenade launchers

Cup launchers and pole rifle grenades quickly gave way to the muzzle launchers found first on US rifles, and then later on weapons in the Soviet sphere, at the end of the Second World War. At least...

Re: Steel Panthers 3

Am I right to say that in fact SPWaW was in fact based off of the SP3 code, unlike WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2 which were based off of the SP2 code? I believe this is the case, despite that SPWaW didn't...
