Utgard requires Death gems and is willing to trade Air, Earth, Astral, or Nature 1:1 for them. We would also be willing to go as high at 50:1 gold for such gems.

Since there is no gold gain or magic sites from the sea provinces, it isn't that big of a deal. Or it doesn't seem like it to me. Like you this is my first MP game so I'm not entirely sure.

That would be a pretty awkward system, I think. Maybe allow only in-game communication by closing the thread after it starts? Maybe set up a neutral admin in case anyone needs an extension.
