Re: Wrath of Opposing Fates (WOOF) - Starts Friday

The newest Version of Worthy heroes should work with macs, I removed all the #clear commands, which seemed to cause the buggy behaviour.

If someone drops out, Iīd happily take his place.

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

@Jack
regarding orokestes: heīs actually a pretty bad example for the way I modded mages, because he is a relict from dom2. In dom2 mystics had astral 2 and 3 in elemental paths, with one elemental...

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

Thanks for the feedback Jack.

Regarding Orokestes: I added the nature magic in 1.4 as a means to combat his old age problem(#older mod commands werenīt working back then), but it is pretty...

Re: The value of site searching rainbow pretenders

If you go for a rainbow mage, donīt put anything in the paths covered by your national mages. Itīs usually much cheaper to bring a mage or two along for the sitesearching than to spend the...

New Version is uploaded in the first post of the thread. I have attached Version 1.5 here, if you need it for some reason.

Re: New Nations in Upcoming Patches?

I think tuathaīs are a given for the next patch. This patch already added in ~10 units which lack a description, but all fit with the tuatha theme.

Re: Bug thread

Stealth edit. Here is a real Bug:

Late age Caelum still gets the usual MA heroes, althoguh they donīt make any sense anymore with the return of the raptors.

Re: Unit array is too small :(

Just a random guess, but you could try it without my heroes mod.

I made a mistake and used #copysprite instead of #copyspr on some units and that could lead to strange behaviour.

Re: The Modder\'s Wishlist

If you copystats a unit that already has the resistances you want you can add those 100% on top of the already existing resistances.

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 0.92

I asked quantum to change his mod, because he needed to release a new version anyway and the needed effort is pretty much zero if you just do a simple find and replace for 770 to 760 or whatever....

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

Heh for me itīs the opposite, finetuning the unit is more fun than writing the description, because I feel itīs pretty hard to write an interesting noncheesy hero story in just a couple of sentences....

Re: Concepts of Creation: Conceptual Balance (sign

No Iīm not desperate, in fact Iīm not even sure which nation to take. I was mostly pointing out that Bandar log is pretty broken in cbc091. Lots of normally recruitable commanders are missing and you...

Re: Concepts of Creation: Conceptual Balance (sign

Heh Iīd take Bandar Log if you can still recruit Kurgi, the slave to unreason for 0 gold and 1 res in cbc0.99 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif ( you can in 0.91).

Regarding...

Re: The Modder\'s Wishlist

This is probably obvious, but Iīd really like to be able to change the cost of temples/labs and castles with mod commands.

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

winrar is a pack utility like winzip and in my opinion far superior.

Re: The problem of low hit points on humans

For the people who canīt accept a bit higher hp for heros:

Consider this:
a run of the mill human unit has 10 hp.

The most skilled recruitable human fighters already have 15+hp(Emerald...

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

Itīs because #clear commands are apparently bugged currently and cause crashes on macs.

Try to use the dm file attached to this post. I removed the clear commands, so there will be some oddities,...

Re: The problem of low hit points on humans

I donīt think anyone wants humans to be giants. The problem is simply that most human thuggie heroes are practically basic commanders with a trivial stat increase.

Take marius lorca for example:...

Re: I need test subjects.

You could try the approach I made for testing the worthy heroes mod.

Setup a game with a luck 3 pretender and another human nation, then setup a local server with that game and set quickhost to 1...

Re: Mod/Fix : Hunter of Heroes Nerf

Can he fly in storms? I know the old doom horrors could, but maybe IW forgot to implement it for Rarku. If he canīt it should be easy to beat him with a staff of storms due to his 4 ap.

Re: The problem of low hit points on humans

May I ask which heroes you feel bend the system? I felt that I was pretty stingy with giving hp boosts and I think noone has more than 2 times as much as the base unit after which he is modelled,...

Re: worthy heroes mod version 1.4

Heh I donīt have internet at home yet, so Iīm still in the SP realm. Maybe Iīll do the three part version, but apart from the Mictlan hero I didnīt find anything terribly unthematic.
