Re: Your Favorite Movie Quotes

"God left this place a long time ago" From 'Blood Diamond' (2006) he does a pretty good South African accent too.

I seldom heard TIA ("this is Africa") anything really bad was "This is Africa...

Re: French OOB06 (v.7)

My grandfather told my father he once met a Frenchman during WWII who said he was in the French resistance who had a Chassepot rifle, that he may, or may not, have fired at a German soldier on the 1...

Re: UK Naval Gun Fire Support

The RN will end up with 8 type 26 Frigates, 6 type 45 Destroyers and at least 5 type 31 Frigates (although the RN really needs a minimum of at least 8 type 31's).

The current type 23 Frigates will...

Re: Cloak & Dagger from the Cold War

UK used most of its war reserves of advanced, all aspect, Sidewinder air to air missiles to fight the Falklands Conflict, don't think they would have lasted too well against the Soviets.

The US...

Re: UK Naval Gun Fire Support

It is very unlikely the type 31 Frigates will have 76mm guns, The three main designs all feature guns of 4.5 inch - 5inch.

The idea is that the Type 31's will be general purpose Frigates (not...

Re: UK Naval Gun Fire Support

That is a two year old article.

Type 26 has not been 'downgraded' to Anti-Submarine warfare, it has always been designed to be the main RN anti submarine warfare Frigate and a vital escort for...

UK Naval Gun Fire Support

From 2024/25 UK will have 5 inch, as well as 4.5 inch, naval gun fire support available, as the new Royal Navy Type 26 Frigates, armed with a 5inch gun, begin to enter service. This weapon will be...

RAF Transport Aircraft

I see that the game retires the latest RAF Hercules (C-130) aircraft in 2022. Not at all sure this will actually happen, since the SAS really does not like the larger Atlas A400M for covert drops.

This looks like much the best new patch in years.
Any chance of Pagoda as used in Burma, etc as a multi hex building?

German Panzer Grenadier MG's in Light AA APC

Late war German Panzer Grenadiers and SS Panzer Grenadiers MG'S have the option of having light AA APC's as transport, ie, SDKFZ 251/17 or SDKFZ 251/21.

Platoon loading for these units, pre battle...

Re: winSPMBT V11 upgrade for 2017

PS,
out of those four nations, by far, the least likely for UK to fight is Russia, since neither side would really gain anything from having such a fight.

Re: winSPMBT V11 upgrade for 2017

I do see what you mean, but UK has retained stocks of mines, of assorted types, "for use in exceptional circumstances" ie, a major war.

So if UK ends up fighting Russia or China or North Korea...

Anti Tank mines are in no way banned and UK also retains stocks of other land mines that could be used in the event of a major...
