you should start a game with all players as humain, then you give to all nation a optimized dominion and pretendant, stale turn yours one turn and set to AI others.

I have tried a solo game with the "new" dominion.
Really difficult without some high gold events : can't by any castle after the 20 first turns

I agree with Twan : Level 9 + D7 + 10 Death gems + 40 N Gems + GoR / Chalice is already expensive (I dislike CBM for increasing the cost to 25 gems)

but they need very high level of Death, it's very difficult without a special pretender of the unique artefact (+4D)

perhaps decrease the price of abo and iron dragon ?
