It would say it's in the REALLY not free catagory. And even as fancy and as powerful as it is. I'm still making my Shipset in Moray/Pov-Ray. The textures are better...

They could in SE2. It made the a real horror. You would be running about the galaxy with frigites and hop through a warppoint and it had 20-30 dreadnaughts on it.

Well the important thing to remember here is.

1) Se3 had increadable AI. So we know that MM can do it.

2) I just fired up my copy of SE3. Version 1.17 and I looked through the history.txt...

I tend to find most sounds on computers rather annoying. (Only thing I use my sound card for is MP3's)

And you are forgetting the most important reason not to do that.

They Seem to need supplies to power there weapons I havn't done extensive testing on this so.... I just throw them in orbit so it doesn't matter one way or another.

Cargo works in place of those fighter bays. At least always has for me. If one was stupid they could make a carrier without any fighter bays.

I encountered some fast moving AI fighters in the demo got to looking at them and it was a cockpit, life support and the rest engine. Un-AI'ed his empire and found it was that way on all his fighter...

The Beta Testers have stated that the finite resources is bugged and does that.

If you don't click generate map it will work fine though.
