Go to the "?" icon it has access to the manual there.
Also if you start a new game with high tech for all players , select all the fields such as organic, temporal etc in the race for youreself...

Get stellar stuff first- solar panels and like that.
Build some single missile destroyers with supply pods and solar panels and explore out. Find them on their systems.

Mid-life, large, all connected as the settings.
When you delete a system in the map section, it deletes that system but then creates more with warp points connecting them, normally a fair distance...

It looks like you gotten a corrupted file somewhere.
You might have to delete SE4 completely and reload it. Hopefully you can save the game and rerun it on the fresh SE4 files.

You might have deleted the file and directory via windows add/remove in the control panel then reinstall the disk and then the patch. That might work.
I had no problem installing mine from 1.30.

You can remove one end of the WP and the game editor saves it OK. I think that you would have to play the game to see if works properly.
Hopefully with no errors generated.

The hulls are the expensive part of the unit.
I found that if you drop the cost by about 1/3 then you produce more units and that it works out that ships to fighters ratio is OK.

The idea of cloaked/hidden WP is good but I am completely against fighters having warp jump capability. Then you don't need carriers. It would unbalance the game!

I think that the game has the component % already in it.
You can't put as many shield components, due to size of the ship and the component, on an escort than you can with a Battleship.

You can't build and move on the same turn. Using the emergancy movement will stop the build occuring for that turn and will most likely reset the build back to turn one.

Boarding parties- Now your just being silly, they would require quater and life support!
Remember mines don't attack like usual ships as they don't iniate combat they just go off, very unfair...

I have put anti-engine on a minehead it seem to work!
Can't see why the components would not work, except as pointed out during those threads, the mines will keep going off if there is an enemy ship...

Again a suggestion!
Make some more levels in mines and include an armour skipping component. Thus removing the Organic Armour III problem.
That way the other components can stay the same.
