Re: Psst, over here, I got the latest patch status... shhhh

I'd still like to know what happens (post patch) if you have a half-finished CI project, stop adding points to it, and get hit by an intel offensive. Will the CI project work or not?

Re: Large Fleets

Uh? Fleet formations are limited to 22 ships? I never knew that ! Where do you get that info from?

So that explains why my fleets seldom obey their formation orders...

Re: Are battles always one sided?

Yes, this is a problem of sorts in SEIV...
The chance to hit is very important. I have seen many battles such as the ones you describe...in the case of 35 vs 100+ ships, did the 35 have superior...

Re: A better system for combat

I like the idea of defenders going first, defenders being the ones who sit still on the warppoint, attackers the ones who try to break through. I also like the idea of simply separateing the fleets...

Re: Tell me WHAT instead of WHO are in a fleet!

My "workaround" for now is that I always make sure my ships names are identical to class names. Of course that means I have to manually rename every ship after every retrofit...

Re: Play by web guide

Baal,
No, the player I was referring to was much worse than you when it came to minefields. About 8 minefields per system in some 7 or more systems...this is in the Dark Wars game.

Mines are very useful. I use them on wormholes and over planets. Minelayers can lay at twice the speed that a...

Re: Psst, over here, I got the latest patch status... shhhh

I am glad to hear that the Intel bugfix seems to be working OK. But I never understood in the first place how counterintel was *supposed* to work...could anybody please explain to me how it works now?

It seems almost impossible to stop this thread from degrading into a wishlist...but where better to post this?

Wish: auto-rename ships after a retrofit.
Example: Lets say I have a fleet with 20...
