Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 1.6

Well, the list of nations with no wins was my starting point to determine nation strength. Participants in the various cripple games got the biggest suggested buffs. I've only played EA ermor in...

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 1.6

Well, I don't know much about underwater nations, having only played two UW games and hating them both. Once again, I don't claim to be some kind of expert, I just thought it would be interesting to...

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 1.6

That's not really true for EA T'ien Chi eihter. Sure, they have captial only celestial masters, but these are not the best mages you want to recruit. They fly and are expensive, so being capital only...

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 1.6

Well I tried to avoid making any nation's strongest, iconic mage recruitable everywhere, except kailasa, and maybe that was a bad idea. I can't see anything wrong with making warlock apprentices at...

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod 1.6

Qm has done a great job in this mod of making some nations stronger, but there is a lot of work yet to be done on nation balance. I would like to see a balance mod where no nations are clearly much...

Re: LA: Noobs and Strangeness (Running)

Haha wow neither had I. Had about 18 holy 3 priests preaching and a blood sac in a temple in each of my provinces from another holy 3. Pretender and prophet were both alive and well. I only had...

Re: RAFT - Late Age (map selection and pretender design)

I would be up for redoing the game entirely, with new teams, and players. Having a person on some team that isn't really interested enough in the game to read instructions properly is a disadvantage...

Re: Mega-Dueling Tournament - Rules, Settings, Check List, and Sign Ups

I agree with wraithlord and Micah. Lets avoid any possibility of unfair matchups.

Re: Bless for LA C'tis?

You probably want a pretender with earth anyway, so why not just use earthquake, or maybe rain of stones. The former isn't that much of a research deviation. Alternatively, have the lizard kings...

Re: Nations under CBM 1.6

wraithlord's idea of the extra randoms is probably the best call. A simple change, but greatly increases the nation's effectiveness.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!

Terms? Utgard received no diplomatic envoy from Marignon, merely a silent attack upon our territory. Twist it however you wish, but Marignon struck the first blow. Utgard will strike the last,...

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!

The proud nation of Utgard wants the world to know that we were not the aggressor against Marignon, rather, they attacked us first, in a surprise attack. Any military actions against Marignon were...

Re: Mega-Dueling Tournament - Rules, Settings, Check List, and Sign Ups

That sounds extremely complicated, and could insure the tournament never gets off the ground. I would prefer a slightly more imbalanced first round to all that hassle.

Re: Redwich needs a substitute (CBM, Arga Dis, seemingly fairly strong position)

I'd be interested in taking over this position for a limited amount of time.

Re: Clam Shortage? - Big Singleage CBM game!

I'd like to play in this as LA abysia. I would prefer graphs on, and a small boost to magic sites.

Re: New game - The Art of War, Fight!

Despite MA Oceania being terminally unfun, this was still a good game. Congrats to Atlantis for eliminating me and Isokron for a hard-fought win.

I would definitely play in Art of War 2 if...

Re: Guide to MA C'tis

On this note, it can be rather effective to use an awake mother of rivers as pretender. Sure you get diseased from miasma, but you are titan so it doesn't really matter unless you get an unlucky...

Re: Cripple Fight 2: The Lamepire Strikes Back!

I'm back up and running, and would be happy to play out Atlantis' position here if burnsaber doesn't want to keep going. If he does, then he is welcome to the position. I'm not sure how many turns...
