My suggestion, first off drop the emissive armor, on fighters it's completely useless, use shields. Secondly, (in my opinion) PPB on fighters isn't very good either, if you have racial tech weapons...

That's easy to fix, you should just need to change a number in the ini. Change ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=0 to ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1 and it should work.

I'd reccomend playing more Alpha Centauri, Civ 3 isn't too bad though. I wouldn't reccomend Civ 4 though, it's a complete disappointment, which is a shame because I own all the civ games except civ 4.

Yes, technically a TC is a mod, however in a TC the game is basically rebuilt, very little of the original game content is left in place. In general usage a mod (as opposed to a TC) doesn't change...
