I hate to admit it when I am wrong, so I will say you are right instead! I found those clear hexes between the beach and more mud! I guess I will have to do better recon in the future....

Yeah, there are "beach" hexes to land on but as you move off of them there is "always" at least 1 mud hex. So it looks like I just need to accept this and move on! Thank's for the help....
