Re: Does air shield protect against seeking arrow?

As supporting evidence, one of the strings in the executable seems to be a message for the blown-off-course outcome. (There's also a typo in said string.)

#strings dom3_amd64 | grep course...

Re: [Beta] Nosophoros - The Vampire Lords

Attached is a patch for Nosophoros.dm. It handles some spelling, noun-verb agreement, and sentence structure issues. I think that there are still some clauses that need to be delimited by commas, but...

Re: [Beta] Nosophoros - The Vampire Lords

Wow, Thilock.

I appreciate all the effort you have put into this, including that trailer. Very creative. (I also like how you mentioned open source tools. :))

I will hopefully have time to try...

Re: [Princes] There will be only one...

I'm already playing a MP and SP on Parganos, but I do love the map. If I become confused about which game I'm playing, you can take advantage of it.... :)

Add me as Arcoscephale, please.

Re: Procyon - One age - Llamaserver Glitch?

Could well be - though if the mod is active, the other two ages are grayed out:

Re: Procyon - One age - Llamaserver Glitch?

My pretender has been accepted.

I followed the advice to rename "SingleAgeComplete.dm" to "Single Age mod.dm".

Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!

Thanks, Shaggy.

By "our nasty little war", I assume you mean the game overall and nothing specific between Mictlan and Arcos...? I haven't seen any hostilities from you, but haven't heard anything...

Re: Modding shortlist

I see, Aezeal. You're looking at it more like the way national heroes work. I looked in Edi's DB, and didn't see some of the standard mercs listed in the 'uniquename' column in the 'AllUnits' sheet....

Re: Modding shortlist

Well, I was actually drawing inspiration from the map editing commands, where commander paths can be customized beyond their monster chasis. I know we're talking about modding and not map editing...

Re: Modding shortlist

Good idea, Burnsaber.
We would probably also want #leadername. Might also be good to specify magic paths (and maybe even magic items) for the leader.

Re: Epic Battles(PBEM) - Game on!

Thanks, dc. :)

I promise I will try to be more challenging than the AI to any who try to slaughter me. But, no guarantees - this is my first MP game. A bowl of spaghetti might have more order to...

Re: Random Events

On pg. 57, the manual says 8 + 2*Size with no indication whether this is relative or absolute size. But, one of the in-game hints says:

So, Size is probably relative size.

Re: Brazen Benevolence (Bronze Armors)

Agreed on the copper; I guess if you are just entering the Chalcolithic or Eneolithic, then it probably looks quite appealing. But, if I start claiming that copper is really misunderstood and is...

Re: Brazen Benevolence (Bronze Armors)

What whiplash says about mineral availability is quite true (and is one of the notes I put in the README). Historically, most bronze-making involved trade to get tin or copper, as they were often not...

Re: Brazen Benevolence (Bronze Armors)

Thanks, Endo.

I waffled a little on what to do with the bronze scale armors. I felt that they deserved to have at least the same protection as their iron counterparts - in the spirit of the other...

Re: Brazen Benevolence (Bronze Armors)

I based the changes on some research I did regarding bronze and iron. The main thrust was to reduce encumbrance in some cases. I would say that the protection boosts are almost negligible, but...

Re: Charge! mod for mundane weapons

I only touched the bronze armors. Very minor changes, but they definitely help several units which are otherwise a bit deficient.

Brazen Benevolence (Bronze Armors)

Greetings,

This mod adjusts the encumbrance and protection values of some bronze armors to slightly improve the AP and defense, or protection, of those units which use them. This started out as...

Re: Charge! mod for mundane weapons

Hey, don't let me stop you from thinking about armors! :D What I did is actually quite minor and hopefully not too controversial. I'll add a thread for it soon.

I tried out your mod last night,...

Re: Charge! mod for mundane weapons

Interesting mod. Not sure about adding more attack to spears and polearms from a realism perspective, but if it helps game play, then great. I'm definitely going to try this out.

I have a mundane...

Re: LA Ulm: Goths Gone Wild! or, Flying Immortal Vampire Harbingers of Doooooooom!

Don't know about extorting anyone's Virtues.... Don't they wield Flambeaus or something? I'd be more tempted to extol one than to intimidate one into giving me gold. ;)

Interesting guide, btw.

Re: Off topic: How are games failing you?

Agreed. Also, party design adds another dimension to the entertainment. Just like one might always wish for another 40 design points when designing a pretender, one often tends to want one more...
