Re: momfreeek's new magic item browser!

Hmm yes, in CBM 1.92 the Boots of Long Strides grant a misc armor piece which gives a defense bonus (a bit like Bracers of Protection). That's quite a subtle thing for your program to pick up on...

Re: Your biggest Doh moment...

Itza (Sombre's Lizardmen mod nation). Sounds like a Slann got killed by some Sylvanian bats!

Re: momfreeek's new magic item browser!

Okay, I have a suggestion: it would be very useful to be able to search for forgable items in the same way as snoddasmannen's spell database, here:

http://www2.onyx.nu/pb/dom3/spells.html

So,...

Re: momfreeek's new magic item browser!

This is amazing! The fact that you can't look up items in-game unless you can already make them is a huge problem for mods like CBM, so this is extremely helpful!

Re: CBM changes...

I believe the changelog for the last version of CBM (which contained a large portion of the item changes) was pretty complete. Before that I couldn't say.

If you're really interested in the Ark,...

Re: Looking for Missing images

I can, in principle, although I will have to dredge up from my memory where I put the sprites / code to get the sprites (lch gave me the code he originally used to extract them). Might take me a day...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Hi Yurasis_Dragon,

Yep, lots of people still play, in fact there still seems to be a steady stream of new players. Both the multiplayer and modding communities remain active.

If you go to the...

:) Don't worry, I don't feel criticised, I was quite touched by everyone's generosity. Just thought I'd fill you in on status and plans.

You also all shouldn't feel like you need to be watching...

LlamaServer reliability

After the server went down last weekend I realised that actually it has been down quite a lot in 2012. This bothers me because I like to think that I'm providing a reliable service, and I really...

Re: Conceptual Balance Mod v1.92

I think that's a good idea. It's not a small change though - likely to be a bit controversial I think.

Re: Some beginner gameplay and strategies questions

To address your Oceania question, I think you would find them much more fun in CBM (Conceptual Balance Mod, latest version 1.92). Clams are effectively removed, so turtling becomes much less...

I don't think you can mod domsummon which is dependent on magic scales.

Re: im in deep doo doo

Regeneration doesn't heal afflictions, it just makes it less likely for you to get new ones.

The property which heals afflictions is called "Recuperation". Some monsters have this, including...

Re: im in deep doo doo

While he is wearing the Ring of Regeneration your pretender will no longer lose health to disease, so he will live indefinitely. He will also accumulate afflictions *much* more slowly. So this is a...

Re: Ulmish Drain magic spell

It's good feedback, I appreciate the post.

Incidentally I think Drain Magic has an additional effect for each of the magic being, undead and demon tags. So Bone Fiends (undead demons) would suffer...

Re: Ulmish Drain magic spell

I'm very surprised if it caused fatigue of >100. Has anyone else observed this? That wasn't what I found during testing. I would agree that that would be OP.

Drain Magic is meant to allow "fair...

Re: Ulmish Drain magic spell

Drain Magic only works for 9 turns. I think the total fatigue it gives is 45, maybe slightly higher. Obviously it is fairly powerful but it's meant to be a key spell for the nation.

Balancing Ulm...

Re: Llamaserver troubles

Sorry about the downtime guys.

The problem this time was that the fuse flipped when my housemate turned the toaster on, so it turned the server off, and I didn't notice that it had gone off for...
