With respect to maximum treaty level, noticed the same myself in my latest game. The Shadows are limited in their txt file to Military Alliance but have gone into Partnership with the Abbidon....

Alias actually comes from Frank Herbert's Dune (book5 I think). The God Emperor was supposed to be immortal and invulnerable but he was found to have one weakness......

Just as a note; none of the mods in mod pack or my mods (ResearchDesign or Klingons, Romulans, Shadows, etc) actually give the AI an advantage. All they do is better optimise the way in...

The AI does not divide research points - it applies them to the first item in the queue and then the next and then the next etc...

So in the example provided;

Chemistry I
Missile II
Filler...

Basically that's right - although the cost of the Filler tech's does rise from the strting cost of 1pt - by level 38 for example, it costs 722 points.....Not sure what the Last level 50 costs, cant...

Xi Chung review:

Xi Chung are suffering from a very slow expansion rate. They have few colonies and no Research Compounds.
This problem is largely is attributable to their Construction_Vehicles...

At turn 67, the latest Piundon ships are as follows:
Destroyers with Shard Cannon III or Crystalline Torpedo III, Crystalline Armour I and Contra Terrene Engines.

Apologies if my language got a bit too harsh on the Piundon (in a sense my wording reflected my relief that the 23 ships I had engaged were not from the Rage, Klingons, Abbidon etc)....

The No Storage issue is one that modders need to look at very carefully. Some races have been programmed to go berserko building WP's and Satellites and frequently end up getting No Storage Messages....
