I just liked the movie Sahara... The BFE movie did not interest me and I rented it and thought it was a cool idea but poorly implimented. As for the books, well the vibe I got from fellow Sci-Fi readers at work was .. Book bad - Movie bad.
For SST the vibe was ... Movie very bad, books ok.
