Just made a small test with modded target ability of the allegiance subverter:
If you give it the possibility to target the following units can be converted: fighters, drones, satellites.
Therefore Baron if you like this you may change it.
However in the original setting (and I prefer it that way) as I said the allegiance converter can only target ships (which includes bases too!).
