I've carried out some tests using BR art in a battle and a long campaign.
The save is the turn after the initially art fire so next turn all bombardment should stop. One art unit of each type fired smoke.
Smoke is not affected.
The problem exists for
All types
Fast Art on/off
Core or extra
Observed or not
Some units fire again. Those that do seem to be tied to the unit delay that >=3.
