Installing maps and mods

Incredibly basic question- how do I install maps and mods that I have downloaded?

You put the map images and map files into the maps folder and the mods into the mods folder in your Dom3 directory.

they dont seem to be registering when i start the game...am i doing something stupid?

There is also a place to turn on mods in the menu. Go to "preferneces" then "Mod preferences" which will show you the list of mods it sees in the mod directory

Not sure why a map wouldnt show up if its in the maps directory. Unless it was buggy
