Arty Forward Observer
What is the exact meaning of "Arty GPS" and "Arty Laser R/F" in AFOs? Which one is the "best"?

Re: Arty Forward Observer
Arty GPS = Artillery Global Positioning System
Arty Laser R/F = Artillery Laser Range Finder
Neither is "best", they do different things.
GPS allows the observer to know his EXACT position so the calculations used to plot an artillery barrage or air strike will be more accurate.
A laser range finder allows the observer to get the precise range from himself to his intended target. Again, allowing much more accurate calculations.

In real life, yes. In the game they are assumed to be the equipmement necessary to target laser guided artillery shells (like Krasnopol) and GPS guided ones (like Excalibur). That at least is what I remember from the discussion we had back then.

Re: Arty Forward Observer
Ok marcello, that's exactly what I asked for. Best is to have both of them I'm surprised I only noticed this new stuff now. Very efficient... it was a great work from mobhack.

Game Guide - Release History -> WinSPMBT version 3.0 upgrade patch -> See bullet #1 and 2 and the highlighted link in bullet 2 as well, of the release notes.
Reading the release history is a good way to find out what is new in each release. It is in reverse order of version number.
Cheers
