Default SE4 ate my hard disk

Well not exactly, but pretty damn close.

[BTW: I got the retail Version and updated w/ the patch [1.11], so I think I'm running the latest and greatest edition.]

Since I wanted to try different things, I set it to "autosave every turn". Thereupon I played 3 games to about 70 or 80 turns each -- with many go-backs and do overs and such.

Imagine my surprise when I ran out of disk space. Between the ../history and ../savegame subdirectories I had over 8,000 files !!

Some of the files, of course were my (manual) saves, but most were of the type: "autosav1_tosav3_tosav3_tosav3_0_plr_1_stats.txt" .

Looks like a bug in the save logic to me, and I'm going to report it to MM directly... but y'all might want to check your files -- especially if it's been slow to load or save lately.

Ah.. well I see there's a 1.19 patch already, so I'll go get that, but...

Well, you might want to delete some of the save games you arent using.
Plus check your HD for stuff you dont need or use. (I found all kinds of crap once...)

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.
