Bear in mind though, that this is not the case of a particle (or an ensemble of) disappearing in one place and appearing in another like in Star Trek. In particular, you *cannot* transmit any signal faster than the speed of light. It's a fascinating business though, both on the theoretical side (a long history, starting with the EPR paradox) and the practical one.

The near-term possibilities for reliable, secure and high-fidelity communications are staggering though. The idea of ultra-secure communications without direct or indirect line-of-sight is one that could shake society to its core.
