Default Can old mod work with new patch?

Hi

I have Version 1.84 with TDM-ModPack Version 3.30.
If I will install new patch 1.91, will my TDM work?

Thanks

First reinstall SE IV, perhaps in a new directory, so you don't lose anything.

Then install the TDM mod in that new directory.

Then go into the Data folder in your TDM folder and delete everything other than Formations. txt and RepairPriorities.txt.

Anyway that's what I did and it's golden.

What did you delete from the TDM folder, and why?

The settings.txt of the TDM is also changed from the original so you shouldn't delete it. If you delete all the other files in the TDM-Data folder it will give me an error. I would suggest to instead copy all files from the SEIV-Data folder into the TDM-Data folder except for the formations.txt and settings.txt (or just download the first TDM beta patch once I found a place to upload it...).

I deleted everything, at first, becuase the things in TDM that were newer than stock had newer Versions in the new patch. Well, except Formations.txt, which was did not seem to be update in the newest patch, and of which TDM had a new Version.

Noting it's date, I deleted Settings.txt anyway, becuase the one in the patch was newer, and because I regularly replace this file with the Settings.txt from FQM, as I play the two combined, without any problems. This I took to mean that it was not going to cause a problem to let it use the stock Settings.txt, and I was going to copy the whole thing over to another folder anyway, to put FQM in it.

Just to note, to save space I had already moved all the folders from Pictures\Races to the root Pictures\Races, except for the ones for the stock AIs, which don't have any pictures in them anyway.

Since it looked like the only change to Settings.txt was the 'smoothed' population bonus (I hadn't looked too closely, really), I figured I could keep the FQM Setttings.txt once I combined the two. FQM 2.08, the Version I am using, already has smoothed population modifiers, though they are somewhat different than 1.91 stock.

I hope I have done a decent enough job of explaining myself.

[edit:I should mention that I got an error abotu RepairPriorities.txt, so I put that back in the folder and I didn't get any more errors.]
