Re: holy pyre and fire resistence ?
No, they will not be damaged. There's a lengthy thread complaining about this and proposing changes to the Holy Pyre spell, but I am too lazy to find it for you.

thnx
i have read parts of it iirc but didn't remember that my question was answered there too .
a new question :
banefire works against undead too or ? because the description that it consumes the life force may suggest that it doesn't work against undead / lifeless .

Are you asking about Holy Pyre, or Banefire, since Banefire is what your subject is?

Re: does banefire damage undead / lifeless ?
As of Dom PPP Banefire did indeed damage undead, have not tested in Dom II, likely stays the same.

Re: does banefire damage undead / lifeless ?
Banefire and Bane Venom (the secondary effect of Banefire) affects everything and is a generic damage that cannot be resisted.
