Re: Access Violation
While Aaron might be able to make some use of that, we do not have the source code to work from.
Please describe what you did to cause it.

Re: Access Violation
Do you have your system set to turn off your harddrives after X minutes? That would explain the delay as they spin up.
What about Hardware & OS?
Have you done a scandisk/defrag lately?
Have you tried dusting off your RAM, or pulling it out and reseating it to make sure you have good contact?

Re: Access Violation
Win ME, eh? I reccommend upgrading to 98 when you have a chance.
Daily defrag is almost certainly too much. Drives do have a limited lifetime, and grinding away day in and day out is not good.
Try monthly, or even annually depending on how much use and the size/free space on the drive.
Personally, I defrag in the "never" category. My files get sorted when I copy them to a bigger drive.

If it is happening during game turn, try this, put all of the players on manual and run the turns for them. This should clear up the AVE.

Re: Access Violation
I loathe windows millenium... Had to reformat and install it on a computer, and was nearly impossible to get all the drivers and stuff back on.

Re: Access Violation
Didn't have any real problems with ME, still prefer 98SE, but ME didn't seem any worse. Bit more reliable in normal operation but the crashes were worse. Totally subjective mind.

Re: Access Violation
I switched ME for XP. But I had alot of old DOS games and such that I wanted to run which ME didnt seem to like, and I didnt feel like moving up to a Win2k server.
