In-game brightness
Hello again!
Finally I've got a licensed CD-Version of WinSPMBT.
I was absolutely happy but not for long
I have applied 1024x768 resolution for the game and now it is a bit dark. I haven't found any way to increase in-game brightness in PREFERENCES screen or anywhere else.
So would anybody be so kind to help me?
Where is this bright button ?

That is a function of your PC's display, and not the game.
There is usually a button on the monitor, and/or you can play with the display software (right click on the dektop and then play with the settings).
Then play with the brigtness (gamma) and also the colour values. e.g. my monitor has 3 stock versions - a warmer one for photo work (reds increased?), a harsher brighter one for word-processing (mainly white documents) and another one that I cannot recall.
Also - ensure you have the correct colour temperature file loaded for your monitor in the display properties/settings/advanced/colour management tab. That is assuming you have the correct driver for your monitor installed, and not a "windows generic" driver.

But this is not a problem of a monitor.
My monitor has a 1024x768 resolution and everything is O.K.
The only problem with brightness is only in WinSPMBT and only in 1024x768 mode. When it is 800x600 the brigtness is normal.

There is no "brightness" setting in DirectX - just Red, Green and Blue (RGB) and alpha (transparency). Thus nothing that can be done from the point of view of the programme itself.
Therefore, your problem is as stated above - you will need to set up your monitor hardware and/or driver settings.
Are you using full screen mode or windowed mode?. Have you tried running the game in both modes to see if there is any difference?.
Are you trying to drive a flat screen LCD monitor at a "non-native" resolution in full screen mode?. That can cause problems due to pixellation from the monitor trying to interpolate the dots.
Are you using a CRT monitor?. That can need individual OSD settin-up of each full screen mode's colour and brightness etc settings, and also it may need refresh rate changes (LCDs usually only use 60 hz for all).

Thanks, I will try different modes (now I'm running FULL SCREEN mode).
But I just want to find out is rhere any possibility to change brightness IN THE GAME (you know, all the games have GRAPHICS menu with the BRIGHTNESS menu in it).
Maybe I can change the brightness in console (or something like this)?

Perhaps DirextX 90 and so on "3D" games can affect the luminescence for pixel shaders in Direct3D, but as this is is a 2D game using DirectDraw - the only way to affect brightness is yor monitor hardware and windows monitor driver settings. Just like if you want say Microsoft Word to display at a different luminescence - you need to use the monitor OSD to play with brightness and RGB.
As far as I recall - one old 19 inch monitor of mine (CRT) needed individual setting up of each full-screen mode as it remembered the input electrical settings for each mode. i.e. set up a game in 1024 by 768 full screen, set monitor to desired levels while the game was up on the monitor (plus adjust the size on-screen, any pincushion etc corrections). Then change game to say 1280 mode, and then do it all over again. And you also had to do it all once again if you changed the screen refresh rate in Windows for a particular mode.
