Another Pretender Viewer
Here is a Windows/.Net2.0 program for viewing saved pretender files in the newlords directory.
Is is very simple. Start it up and all .2h files are displayed in a listbox. Click on one and the info is displayed in the various fields. The expected directory is "C:\Program Files\Dominions3\savedgames\newlords". At this time, the directory can't be changed.
The program is called Pretender "Editor" as that was my initial plan. Only the checksum/CRC prevents this from happening. Maybe someday.
Hope someone tries it out so I can find out how it installs and runs on someone elses computer. The zip file is 1.7 meg but the .exe is 55K.
<EDIT>
I've added a folder selection option. The default dir is now "\Program Files\Dominions3\savedgames\newlords".
<Edit>
How embarassing, found a mistake in how the scales are being displayed. I'm removing the attachment until I'm sure it's correct. Sorry.
<Edit again>
OK (that's why I don't do this for a living.) I'll try it again. Please take it for a test spin.

Re: Another Pretender Viewer
Sorry I cant check it easily since my dominions is usually not on drive C:\
You can usually get away with
\Program Files\Dominions3\savedgames\newlords
which would help for most of my systems

Re: Another Pretender Viewer
Im not sure how you coded it but you might also just let it consider the directory it is in to be the starting point. I dont mind putting things in the Dominions3 directory so it this program has its own directory then the path could be
..\savedgames\newlords

Re: Another Pretender Viewer
This one should work OK. I put many pretender files through it.
