OK, this was odd
I just got a "OUT OF MEMORIE" Error. Forgive more saying this, but WTF??? I have 512 megs of DDR Ram, and I seriously doubt that I ran out of memorie!!!
Ok, I am kinda ticked! I just kicked arse, and now all of my work is gone!!!!!!! aarrgge!

UPDATE: After a few tries, I got one of the old save games to work. I am trying to see how far I can play before I get another error.

I will make a bet. I bet that you had SE IV running plus either the SE IV map editor or another game of SE IV. There seems to be some conflict that makes it go wacko if you do this.....

The problem was, and I only speculate, that since I had been running a tribes2 server, the availible memorie was used up over the course of 36 hours. The time since I Last turned my PC off.
Since I was doctor resticted from working over the Last few days, I kept the machine on whereas I normally would have turned it off. Funny huh?
Ohhhhh well, live and learn.

I've seen it recommended that any system running Windows be restarted daily, because Windows becomes progressively more unstable the longer it's running.

You mean you can get windoze to run for more than 5 hours without crashing? Wow...
