Default A Big Ask

I will understand if the answer is a straight no but this goes out to Andy & Don or anybody who has info.

The project set up a spreadsheet with rarity factors as a guide starting with WW2 & release it here.

Any links to refrences or info you have even if not user friendly would be apprecited.
I realise the amount of time you have spent compiling is huge but if I start fresh now it would be years before it came to fruition.

I am guessing many people have bits of info like I do & I would like them to sift through.

E Mail me putting MBT in subject line so you do not get spammed if have info.

Will start with major powers as most played & was thinking of following format ideas welcome.
Thinking use open office as anybody can download free.

Rate rarity on scale of 1-10, 1-15 probably better anything below 10 being the very rare stuff.
Split date into month blocks > easist way as rarity for units varies over time.
Put theatre Tabs > Europe, Eastern Front, N. Africa, Italy/Sicily, Pacific
Sort by > Date, unit type, rarity
Possibly add notes for rare stuff on where used.

This is a mamoth task & it would only be a guide to what is generally available & will not cover infantry. Vehicles, guns, planes possibly.
It will not be able to cover use at specific locations but for rarer stuff could possibly add brief notes as to usage.

The idea is to allow people to buy semi realisticly if they so wish.

Thanks to anybody that sends info in advance.

The OOB can be dumped as a .CSV file, which is really nothing more than an organized .TXT file. You can import that into MS Excel and do what you want with it.

As far as rarity is concerned, it is incorporated in the "Radio" value that can be found in MOBHack and is explained in the MOBHack guide.

That should give you the raw material for what you want to do.

Cheers RERomine I have a huge favour to ask then as have no idea how to do that.
Could you do & send it to me or explain how to.
That would be a very good starting point as I would actualy tend to trust the info more than most if it has made it past Don & Andy.
Save a lot of time to as I am not much better than a one digit typer

To create the .CSV files, all you have to do is go into MOBHack and select the OOB you want to work with. Once you have brought that up, click on "File" from the menu line. There should be an option there, "Write CSV Files". Click on that and you will get a pop up window that says "Dump all CSV OOB Files". Here, if you click "Yes", it will dump every OOB to .CSV files and if you click "No", it will only dump the OOB you selected to work with. I did this with the German OOB and attached them in a .ZIP file. You actual get one .CSV file for Units, Formations and Weapons. Sounds like you only want the one for Units, but I attached them all.

The next step is to import the .CSV file into MS Excel. All you need to do is pull up Excel and select "File" from the menu line and pick the "Open" option. Change the file type to "Text Files(*.prn,*.txt,*.csv)". Next, all you have to do is find and open the .CSV file you want to work on. Excel handles it very easily. I'm not sure how well other spreadsheet programs will work with it.
