Is it normal...
...that my Seraph wearing Marble Armor self-petrified himself with his Stone Sword during a fight?

Re: Is it normal...
No it's not 'normal'. The feelings you're having are sick and wrong and /that's/ the reason for the body hair. You see body hair is an outward sign that your soul is rotting, decayed by the filth in your mind. So stop sinning and the hair will stop growing.
Edit: Sorry, posted in the wrong 'is it normal' thread.

Re: Is it normal...
Yes, it's completely normal. You'd have been better off either GoRing a gargoyle, they are immune to the Stone Sword. There's a few other Stone beings listed in Edi's DB, but the gargoyle is pretty cheap and can fly, and it's guaranteed immune to being stoned. Maybe wish for the "Onyx Oracle" if you want to try something different?
Or you can just load up something else with MR items, but there's always a chance you'll have a bad day. But then again, you could just get Magic Dueled.

Re: Is it normal...
I thought the Marble Armor was turning the wearer to stone as the description says, rendering anyone immune to stoning (by medusa or stone sword or the spell or else). Ok, good to know, it doesn't feel very thematic though.
Onyx Oracle? I'll look into it, thanks

It just gives you the Stoneskin buff, turning your skin into stone, not your whole body.

Re: Is it normal...
Marble Armor simply auto-casts Stoneskin at the beginning of battle. Stoneskin raises your base Protection, but -- ironically -- does not make you immune to petrification. It certainly seems like it should make you immune, but it does not.
Nice idea, though!

Re: Is it normal...
IMHO, it's perfectly thematic for Stoneskin not to make you immune to petrification. Arguably it should make petrifying you easier, because the job is partly-done already.

Re: Is it normal...
It should also make Moss Body and Summon Pigeons easier to cast.
