About solar brilliance and master enslave
Ok on other thread there was mention that no penetration items affect bf enc. is that true?
Meaning I don't get pen bonuses to master enslave or solar brilliance from extra paths nor penetration items?
This applies to all bf wide mr resistable spells?

Re: About solar brilliance and master enslave
No, like Sombre said in the other thread:
BF: (eg Master Ensalve) MR roll is affected by pen items & caster level
BE: (eg Solar Brilliance) MR roll is not affected by pen items or caster level

Re: About solar brilliance and master enslave
To define further.
A Battlefield Enchantment is a spell that has a lingering effect. Fire storm, mists of deception, storm, solar brilliance... these are spells that are cast once and has an effect each round, or is a persistent effect on the battlefield. Does not get boosted.
A BF is a spell where one casting affects the entire battlefield, but does so only once having an instantaneous effect. Does get boosted.
Since master enslave is a BF it can be boosted by levels and penetration bonuses. Solar brilliance is a BE and cannot.

Re: About solar brilliance and master enslave
For what it's worth, items (eg Eye Shield) also don't get boosted by pen items on the wielder.

Re: About solar brilliance and master enslave
What about MR-negates attacks? Like, EA R'lyeh's mind lords and their enslave weapon?

Re: About solar brilliance and master enslave
No, pen items do not help weapons (innate or wielded), including Enslave Mind.
