have i been away too long?
Guys, i've not been to this site for some time blah, blah, blah, my fault i know but, what's this gold Version all about and this 'rebate' thing. The game cost me near on $70 to get to my doorstep in the u.k, back in november Last year when it was first released. My main worry is the total shipping cost (which amounts to a lot) if i have to order a new Version. I'm more than willing to pay for the product as it's kept me away from my missus for so long, but the shipping is the killer for me. If i've got all this totally wrong, then by all means take me behind the bike shed and slap my legs, but can some kind dude put a final light on the subject for me.
best regards tic

Re: have i been away too long?
Actually, Gold was just annoanched (sp, I hate certain words, can you tell?) Monday.
It's a totally new Version of SE4, and yes, you'll need to pay shipping. (well, that can be gotten around, but shrapnel isn't going to do it andno one else has any way to prove you actually bought the game, so no dice)
Re: the rebate: you need to send a piece of the CD in. See the rebate threads.

Re: have i been away too long?
BTW we do have other options since the game was first released for shipping including Chips and Bits and strategic-plus.co.uk.

Re: have i been away too long?
Tictoc, i think you have it all in hand. I know its hard for those of you outside the empire to deal with the high terrifs, but i like to think that turn about is fair play.
i mean, ah, dont mind us here in the colonies.. getting things properly exported is a touch difficult for barbarians such as us
quite seriously though, it sounds like you have got it right.

Re: have i been away too long?
I was away for 10 days and all this happened.
I am a little lost trying to catch up. Any other important stuff going on.
I had way too much 151 RON down in Dom. Republic.
P.S. I highly recommend CASA DEL MAR to anyone who wants to travel to the Dom. Republic. I think I gained 10 pounds. Just eating , drinking, swimimming, reading and watching the funny shows. Plus a trip into Santa Dominico Very interesting.
Mucho Ron though. And I was bite by a stingray. Man those things hurt.
