I have a few ships that i just unmothballed. They come out of being mothballed with no supplies, even though they are sitting on a planet with resupply depots.
my questoin is, do i need to park the ship there another turn (this is a MP simultanious movement game) or can i move the ship this turn and expect the ship to pick up supplies before it leave?
this is an order of operations quesiton. Doest a ship get supplies first before movement or after? I suspect i need to leave the parked another turn :-\
I have never seen any ship come out of mothballs needing supplies.
In my experience (which isnt much), the only time this could happen is if you retrofit the ship and dont allow it to fully complete repairs before you mothball it, in which case it comes out of mothball in the same state you put it in ie in need of repair and out of resources
thats interesting as thats completely counter to what i just observed. I had 3 ships that i mothballed. All were 100% healthy and full of supplies when i mothballed them. Now this Last turn i unmothballed all 3 ships. 2 were on planets that had both shipyards and resupply depots. All 3 have 0/3000 supplies. Thus as far as i'm concerned, a mothballed ship has 0 supplies when you unmothball it.
I've also noticed that you have to leave them at the planet for the current turn (the one on which you un-mothballed them) so that they can gain supplies.
I've also made the mistake of mothballing a ship at a planet without a resupply facility

this is well weird - just done this on my SE IV (1.49 patch) game and an unmothballed ship comes out of mothball immediately with full supplies - no need to wait a turn
naturally, this is at a planet with a resupply depot
have I got the 1.49 patch Kazakstani Version or something?
