Default My first Shipset, The Slaanesh, Need Feedback

I've just uploaded my first shipset, the Slaanesh, onto this board and would appreciate any feedback. The AI is 1.49 compatable but has very little playtime under its belt.

For your first shipset thats pretty darn good. Using Doga I see. Looks like you put a lot of time into some of those ships with many different parts, and I really like your use of the available textures. Did you make the racial picture too?

Wow. Very cool, and lots of variety while still maintaining a cohesivesness.

I'm curious as to why the Large transport is so wide and flat, rather than being compacted to provide a smaller profile. Being in space, that dosen't really matter except for combat and microparticle impacts.

Nice looking shipset. I hope to get some time this weekend to try it out.

I do have a couple of observations on the AI. The first is that, based on the images, I was expecting an organic AI, and based on the description, it sounded like it would be a religious AI. According to the ai_general file, it is neither. That is not a problem really, just on observation. I don't think you need to change your AI just because of those issues. The other thing that I saw, that might actually cause this race some problems, is that it will be quite late before they research point defense weapons. If they run into a missile user early, they will be toast. Most human players tend to use missile ships early, so this could be a real problem.

Once I get a chance to see them in a game, I will let you know how they do. I think that they have a lot of potential.

I'm more of a Tzeentch fan, but the ships of this young upstart god look good

I really like the Battleship!! Great race pop image as well.

Do you play BFGothic?

Any hopes of rounding out the rest of the Chaos ships? Any chance you could post some of the DoGA files to see how you did texture/color/etrc.?

I know there is an Ork set out there, always thought it would be fun to make a 40k mod.

I agree with the observation below, by the look this race is supposed to be organic, especialy if talking about bases and fighters. By the description, all of their lives spin around their belief in Daemon Gods - worship them and sacrifice ppl to them, making a perfect description for a religious race.

For the images themselves, the ships are quite good for a first racestyle.
Some of the ships remind me of some of the original ships but they are nice and i cant trace where they go to.

One more thing. The fighters are cool, but kinda outa of the place with their unusual texture.

Overall, well done. Havent checked the AI yet.
