Immobilised vehicule
Hello!
I don't understand why my armored vehicule, which its status is ready, can't move while it is not immobilised!!
I've attached the printed screen.
Thanks for help.
Regards.

Re: Immobilised vehicule
I have no idea - it looks to be a scenario?
What exactly is the thing, and what did you do with it (e.g. drop it off from a landing craft?). What is the terrain - height (is it deep water etc.).

Re: Immobilised vehicule
The scenario is the DDay: Omaha Beach.
I've made a printed screen as an attachment.
Terrain :
Height: 0 - Clear.
Density: 0
The tank is on the beach
Status: ready
In contact
Suppression: 1
Damage: 0
From several turns, it's on the beach, and I can't move it.
Really, nothing can explain that, as I know!

Re: Immobilised vehicule
As to the first question I asked - It is actually a DD tank, and starts the game with 0 land movement. This seems to be a data (scenario editing?) error.
There does not seem to be any explanatory text in the scenario description stating that these are meant to be immobile pillboxes for some reason.
- And anyhow as the DD tanks start on the beach, then there is no real point in having them that I can see other than "flavour" - if deployed in the sea, the alternative swimming DD tank icon is used until they land. But deployed on the beach, their "party trick" is not utilised unless maybe the payer decided to waddle out to sea for some strange reason .

Re: Immobilised vehicule
OK Mobhack.
Thanks a lot for analysis.
I'll try to change the moving hability for this kind of items, for there several to have this "bug".
So, it's late here ! I've had to go sleeping.
I'll post a feedback if I succeed to change the status of this damned tanks.
So long!

Re: Immobilised vehicule
Hello Mobhack,
Fixed issue!
I'm gone in the Scenhack Scenario Utility, Scenario Fixer Tab, and changed the name :
- click on "Change"
- in column #1, select #50 & 51 : Rem/DD/741st
- in column #2, search M4 Duplex Drive
- then, click on "OK".
These 2 units will there name changed and can be moved.
That doesn't work in ongoing game. That will work on new game.

Re: Immobilised vehicule
There is no need to change the names given..check the "Keep existing unit names" box on the right bottom and don't forget to SAVE on the main page.
That fix has now been made to the next patch game whenever we issue the next patch

Re: Immobilised vehicule
Thanks a lot DRG.
There's another bug in this scenario.
It occures on Hex 59, 142 where a 8.8cm Pak is called WN64 rather than WN72.
It doesn't matter for the playability, but it's better for the historical reality.
