Something broken with Kamikaze in new patch?
I've given the order to ships several times (in PBW games), since the new patch, and for some reason, they always run to the opposite corner??
Is it broken, now? If so I consider it a major problem, that should be fixed ASAP! (I always set my lone colony ships to Kamikaze, so sometimes they actually survive that attack by a lone missle frigate)

Re: Something broken with Kamikaze in new patch?
I had it work just fine for me, but I didn't try it with a colony ship. Mine were dedicated ramming ships that I had specified as "attack ship" type. It's possible I suppose that the "colony ship" type is overiding the design strategy you set for it somehow. Probably need to do some more testing.

Kamikaze colony ships... I'm sure your people must LOVE being shipped off to strange new worlds Seriously though, I'd use that strategy myself (might as well do some damage if we're going to die anyway), but only for some reason in tactical, and I don't play single player anymore...

Re: Something broken with Kamikaze in new patch?
In PBW I have my colony ships set to: RAM and RAM,
I will not mention the name of the hapless exploring escort that was smashed to smytheriens while I only took 45% damage. Odd part: While the Combat results show 45% damage, The ship was good as new.

That's not odd at all; it's an artifact of the way component damage is tracked. 45% of the total punishment a colonizer can take isn't enough to destroy a colony module, so it's "repaired" when the combat ends.
You see the same effect when a ship's shields aren't penetrated, or an armor component isn't destroyed.
