OT: Where Do You Go
I was wondering if any one could provide me with links to speed testing sites that will test my connection speed. I need to test out my friends DSL connection. It seems to be rather slow.
In comparisson to my former ISP connection, cable via AT&T Broadband, this connection is like dial up.

Re: OT: Where Do You Go
Try this one:
http://www.numion.com/
It tends to under report a little because of the internet router situation, but it is not too bad.

Re: OT: Where Do You Go
The site I use to test my DSL connection is found here. http://www.dslreports.com/stest
Just choose your location that you wanna test from and wait for the thing to load then press start.
It seems to be pretty close... Our DSL is supposed to be 356K, through our local phone company, but we average around 100K. But we are at the extream limit of distance from the box. (4.2 miles) it's supposed to only reach 4.0 miles but they managed to get it out to us.
I just ran a test myself and I pulled 268 down, and 1119 up.

And another one
http://computingcentral.msn.com/internet/speedtest.asp
EDit: Just tested my connect on these 3 links and got 599 on mine, 670 on Rags, and 408 on Thermodyne's. So I guess the 3rd does under report a bit
