I think if we talk over what races and specialties we want to do in advance, and keep in constant touch during the game, that should be enough. That system has worked out well enough for the team Rags and I are in in PBW.

If everyone is still interested, I will contact Pablo and Gryphin to get the game set up. Please post your acknowledgements in this thread, as it is our only common ground at this time.

Looks good. Let's get this thing going, and go Team USA!

Re: Lithuania vs USA Challenge - USA Thread
OK team, we are waiting on Gryphin to set up the game. Looks like we will have 14 players total (7 vs. 7).
FYI: The main thread is now:
not a SEIV Olympics thread anymore

I would like the open the floor for suggestions on a team name…
Discussions of tactics, strategies, etc will need to move off this public forum to some other medium. We need an Online forum that we can keep private or will need to rely on email. Any thoughts?

Once in-game, there's always diplomatic Messages. Prior to that, unless someone has a better suggestion, there's always email.

IMO, the in-game diplomatic messaging system is awkward and frustrating to use effectively - especially for team play. I really would like the team to commit to email-only communication or an Online web forum.

Re: Lithuania vs USA Challenge - USA Thread
Should we also pick our races before as well as know some kind of plan?

Re: Lithuania vs USA Challenge - USA Thread
With seven of us, as long as each of the major racial techs gets picked by someone, and we spread out the planet types pretty evenly, we should be alright. But the nuts and bolts of this is best hashed out where prying Baltic eyes cannot see it.
