rendered with LW 7.0
Please give me your opinions. I have been trying a different mode of thinking with this one render. If all goes well I will be redoing the Gron set using this concept.
I had gotten through half the redesign when I realized it was not going to work out well.

Re: rendered with LW 7.0
Ooh, cool... next time try an antialiased render though, the jagged "windows" on the front really ruin the "smooth organic" effect

Still working on the lighting and all that. The windows were too quickly done.

Re: rendered with LW 7.0
Does anyone know where to find the antialias in LW?
[edited]
Nevermind. Do you realize how long I looked to find out how?

Very nice. What do you think of Light Wave?

Re: rendered with LW 7.0
I am very pleased with it. The prog I used on my other sets (Truespace) would have caused me to give up real quick on this one. We're talking ulcers and all that noise. Lightwave, though it has a non-intuitive interface (what 3D prog doesn't) is real easy to grasp. What isn't easy can be found in the form of tutorials on the net.

Re: rendered with LW 7.0
have you tried rhinoceros 3.0 ?
i've been trying to play with it as a first attempt at doing my own shipset... its kinda cool
i was wondering if you could give info comparitively.
i know (or at least i hear) that 3d studio max is best... but of course price prohibitive
comments?

Re: rendered with LW 7.0
I have only used Truespace and Lightwave so I cannot make any comments about anything else. Lightwave is use professionally.
